Edward Dietrich, a PSIA certified (Alpine Level 2, Children's Specialist 2) ski instructor who has taught skiing at Beaver Creek since 2013, has been lead counsel since the inception of this action in 2020. Previously, he was an equity partner at Milberg Weiss, the country’s largest class action firm at the time, and its successor firm, which is now known as Robbins Geller (rgrdlaw.com), and widely regarded as the top Plaintiffs’ firm in the country. He has recovered over $1 billion for his clients in cases against HealthSouth, America West Airlines and other major corporations. To ensure that there were sufficient resources to win at trial against Vail, in December, 2025, he signed a co-counsel agreement with Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll.
Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll is one of the largest plaintiff-side litigation firms in the country — with over 100 attorneys in offices in Washington, DC, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago. The Cohen Milstein team is led by Joseph Sellers, who represented 1.6 million women in a landmark case against Walmart, as well as numerous wage theft cases against companies like Amazon, McDonald’s, Amedisys, and Perdue Farms. The Cohen Milstein team includes Brian Corman, Alisa Tiwari, and Michael Hancock, the former Assistant Administrator for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division.
